The Gourmet Cafe, The Shambles, Wetherby.
Its on-street seating of table and chairs allowing an ambient visit in the nicer weather, while inside and upstairs seating serves as extra space for Customers. The Gourmet Cafe on The Shambles hosts various hot and cold meals, as well as the usual hot and cold beverages, too, which will appeal to its many Customers from far and wide.
Serving up Home Made meals on a daily basis, The Gourmet Cafe has become one of the most favoured Coffee Shops within Wetherby Town Centre, next to other Cafe’s that vary in both quality and price.
As The Gourmet Cafe was the Original Coffee Latte Shop of choice some three years ago, it still remains a well visited place by both my family and myself.
LATTE REVIEW.
Many would (and still have) put on a strained face when we say our favourite hot drink is Latte with Cinnamon Sprinkles! In some instances, we have been questioned about our sanity in regards to the custom Latte with (or without) the addition of Cinnamon has added a better, more enjoyable and more palatable choice to the partaking choice of the Great Coffee Challenge.
PREPARATION
Made by five different members of staff at The Gourmet Cafe in Wetherby, we have found that each is different in their styles of preparation. One of the best – name aside – is the preparation; grinding the coffee bean (Super Cremer), filling an eighth of the cup with the filtered bean before the milk is steamed and poured into the glass. Four of whom pour the steamed milk straight into the glass, while the one member of staff delicately layers the cup by intermittently spooning the milk into the glass cup. This is, of course, how a real Latte is made.
