I can almost remember a time when backing up my precious DATA onto CD/DVD Discs had reached a point of great and sometimes perturbing stress, not to mention both financially costly and time consuming in acquiring those Discs to spend hours burning and authoring. The “Evolutionary Wheel” was turning slowly for those people who I knew who were trying to keep up with the times – keeping up with Technological advancements – and yet, when I started Storm Multi-Media Technologies, things began to change for the better and excel my knowledge in Technology, too.
A family member and friend made a suggestion to me: “Why don’t you buy a half dozen External HDD’s and put all your stuff on them?”
This was a good idea – not a great idea, or the perfect idea – but there was something that I knew which they didn’t! I knew that there was a little ‘Intelligent’ device out there that could solve all the “Back-Up” and “Storage” problems that I (and others) would face if they took to the idea of throwing money at loads of External HDD’s and Storage Devices, even though the perfect idea involved a few HDD’s of the large variety. Of course, what made the idea that my family and friend members suggested flawed was the swapping, changing, installing and uninstalling of the HDD’s – Unless there was some “Hot Swap” implement there, but that would cost even more.
When I was introduced to the FUSION HDD Docking Station System by Sumvision, I wondered what the hell it was at first, it looked as though it was missing some greater part of its body, maybe even its insides with the feather light feel of its weight. Fortunately, there was nothing missing, and quite the contrary, everything and more was included in the products packaging. Reading through the Specifications and check list of accessories I couldn’t think of anything that would be missing from fully optimising and beefing up my home PC (or even Laptop).
Admittedly, I did have to buy extra shelving for the wall to hold the four FUSION HDD Docking Station Systems, which also look pretty cool with the black lacker finish I gave to the wood. Additionally, spending a pound at Poundworld for a “Cable Tidy” pack for those hanging wires, I do believe I’d cracked it. Armed with 4 x 2 Terra-byte HDD’s I pushed them into the Docking Station Systems, connected the USB’s to the rear of the PC and hey presto!
Today, I save more than £1,600 per year on CD/DVD Discs for DATA back-up, even more by cutting down the cost on the wear and tear of CD/DVD Optical Drives, and additionally I save a few quid on the electricity and prolonged life of my PC’s Processor. Why? Well, the CYCLONE Fusion HDD Docking Station System (with a Remote Control for each, too, I must add), moves DATA at a fast rate from PC to HDD inside the Docking Station itself and vice versa. There’s no need to install any fancy Drivers or Authoring Software, because the Fusion is Universally recognised to be accepted on any OS Platform.
So, what can you do (Exactly) with the Cyclone Fusion HDD Docking Station System? Well, one thing you cannot do is make a cup of coffee with it…Yet. but this is what it is and this is what you can do with it:
